Stop construction of new dolphinarium in Bulgaria!

As in France, mayors in Bulgaria think purely from an economic perspective. Only jobs matter, even when created to the detriment of wildlife and when biodiversity is plundered and destroyed forever.

The latest major project for the large maritime city of Burgas, Bulgaria, is a marine park with a dolphinarium. The Bulgarian organisation, The Last Cage, is urging local politicians to get involved so that they too can take a stance against this backward project. Penguins, seals, dolphins and thousands of fish will be imprisoned there for life. Dolphinariums are insatiable, always leading to more wild animals being captured.

The industry of captive animals – a permanent threat to nature

The pandemic impacting us now is undoubtedly associated with animal exploitation. It has led to the confinement of more than half of the human population. Yet, there are those who still do not grasp that, as far as imprisoning animals in the post-pandemic world is concerned, enough is enough! The construction of marine sanctuaries is what we really need.

Together with The Last Cage, let's call upon the project heads and Bulgaria's elected representatives, namely their Minister for the Environment and the Mayor of Burgas. Sign their petition en masse to stop this project from ever seeing the light of day!

Shameful! You are in 2020 and while other dolphinariums and sea world alike have been shut down due to its proven animal cruelty and imprisonment of any sentient being, you are thinking of doing this? Shows how stupid and small minded it all is. The necessity of this proves to be always aware and watching! We are watching you! The constant fight for animal rights, any rights of any being, will remain and proven a need with your actions here. Hope you will see that all is connected and find awareness that all beings want the same: happiness and without suffering.

La Bulgarie devrait tenir compte de la forte mobilisation à travers le monde pour la cause animale. On juge une grande Nation de la manière dont elle traite ses animaux. Les animaux sont considérés comme des êtres vivants dotés de sensibilité, les maintenir en captivité est une violation de leurs droits à la liberté de vivre dans leur élément naturel. Il est inconcevable de constater qu'une prison sur l'eau va voir le jour, les cétacés ne sont pas des criminels, ils ne sont que les victimes de la folie humaine et d'un business juteux qui n'en ont que faire de leurs souffrances. Il n'y a rien de réjouissant que de voir des mammifères amuser la galerie contre nature et le dressage n'est pas si agréable que l'on le pense. Ils tournent en rond dans un bassin minuscule, développent de l'agressivité due au stress, ils peuvent se blesser en se projetant sur le bord du bassin par désespoir, ils se battent parfois par la promiscuité de l'enfermement. Pensez-vous que la plupart ont envie de cautionner de tels actes et de se rendre complices en voyant cette souffrance flottée sur l'eau mais masquée par des singeries dûment orchestrées par des insensibles. Il serait temps que les dirigeants à la tête de pays soi-disant civilisés prennent enfin en compte la maltraitance animale et s'engagent à y mettre un terme définitif. L'argent ne doit pas primer constamment sur l'esclavage animal ni même humain.
