Wednesday, March 20th 2019 at 12 noon in front of the town hall, a rally has been organized by One Voice and Sea Shepherd France to alert public opinion against the project of oceanographic centre in Dieppe, which plans to put in a glass jar thousands of sentient beings who have only one aspiration in life: to live free.
The aquarium project of one hundred and twenty pools, one thousand two hundred species, and thus tens of thousands of tropical captive individuals, a few meters from the Channel, seems already acquired.
The mayor of Dieppe is promoting it, praising the jobs that it will create, without seeing that this purely economic vision is a short-term vision. Times have changed: now the whole population is aware of the fragility of ecosystems and our survival depends on them all.
Muriel Arnal, president and founder of One Voice, says:
For One Voice and Sea Shepherd France, fish, including sharks, and all other marine animals have nothing to do what so ever in living in glass jars. They have the right to live by their nature, regardless of humans, in an environment protected from pollution and overfishing.
One Voice and Sea Shepherd France, who are in partnership, are organizing a rally in front of the Dieppe town hall Wednesday March 20th at noon, to oppose the project for this oceanographic centre in the district of the railway station. The building permit must not be issued !
