A committed Tiger, against cruelty

For 15 years, our labelling policy has appealed to many companies: thousands of French and foreign products bear the One Voice labels, in the major sectors such as cosmetics, food, clothing, home products (maintenance, hygiene, scents, decoration ...) or animal products (health and care).

In 2013, the work of One Voice with the ECEAE of which it is the representative in France made it possible to obtain the prohibition of the import and sale, in the European territory, of cosmetics products or ingredients tested on animals. However, tests continue for many other consumer products. Most of these experiments are aberrant and all the more so as alternatives exist.

Today, our association is launching a new and effective way to clearly identify products that have not been tested on animals: the One Voice logo will gradually replace the old orange or blue labels and our tiger-totem affixed to the packaging will indicate the brands that refuse 'animal experimentation. No company marketing products in China, where animal testing is mandatory, will be eligible in France: the ethics of a brand must be whole and global. Choosing a brand labelled One Voice is contributing to the construction of a non-violent society for all living beings.

The international Fur Free Retailer program (FFR) is developed by One Voice in France. Created by the Fur Free Alliance coalition of which the association is a member, it proposes to the professionals of these sectors of clothing and adornment to engage with the label FFR and not to commercialize animal fur.

The Animal Free label, for an ethical and responsible fashion, was created by our Italian partner, LAV. One Voice promotes it in France. It allows easy identification of clothing and fashion accessories devoid of 100% animal products, but also the degree of commitment of firms. This is an unprecedented notation of the manufacturers' ethics, based on their renunciation of animal materials: fur, feather, silk, leather and wool.

Currently, nearly 500 companies worldwide, including nearly 100 in France, have already joined the FFR program, which is completely free for retailers and has been recognized since 2010 by the ISO 26000 standard (Corporate Social Responsibility). These companies, (American Apparel, Armani, C & A, Spirit, Field & Hockey, Frank Sorbier, Geox, Gucci, H & M, Hugo Boss, Kid Kid, Redoubt, Lidl, O Bag, Peter Hahn, Zalando) as well as that of the Inditex group (brands Zara, Zara Home, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Uterqüe), realized that:

  • In the world millions of animals are killed each year for their fur;
  • Several European countries have adopted binding measures (depending on the species) or have even banned breeding for fur on their soil;
  • The fur industry pollutes the environment and humans.
