The all story of the fight

2017

Gucci announces in October that it joins the Fur Free Retailer program by stopping fur in its upcoming collections. It is the realization of several years of work for One Voice and its Fur Free Alliance partners!

One Voice is working in Prague, with its Fur Free Alliance partners, in the Czech Republic. By a large majority, they have forbid the breeding of animals for their fur in their country ... a few weeks after a similar decision has been adopted in Germany! In France, success of our petition VisonsLeRespect, based on an investigative report of several French mink farms.

La Redoute in "fur-free" fashion: a French leader of the VPC adheres to Fur Free Retail, the ethical program carried by One Voice in France for its international coalition.

The revelations of six French mink farms shake the industry ... coverage by many national and foreign Medias, and published on a dedicated website (VisonsLeRespect.fr) the images of this campaign deliver a glamorous statement on the reverse side of French luxury decor. Abuse, suffering and lies...

One Voice releases new images of its several month undercover investigation into French angora rabbit farms. The campaign is relayed by media across the world. A petition is launched and a complaint is filed against one of the rabbit farmers who admitted selling cancerous rabbits to a laboratory.

The clothing group LPP stops using fur in its collections for its various brands thanks to the work of the Fur Free Alliance, with Open Cages and in partnership with One Voice.

Armani renounces fur thanks to the work of One Voice and the Fur Free Alliance and joins our Fur Free Retailer programme

In France One Voice leads the internet campaign by the Fur Free Alliance for World Anti-Fur Day, which takes place on 27th November.

The Fur Free Retailer Programme(FFR) of the Fur Free Alliance est implemented in France by One Voice.

Hugo Boss, persuaded by the Fur Free Alliance, announces it is giving up real fur in its autumn-winter 2016 collections.

2014

The Spanish group Inditex, famous for its brands Zara, Massimo Duti and Bershka, gives up using fur thanks to the work of the Fur Free Alliance, represented in France by One Voice.

2012

Launch in China with ACTAsia of the Caring for Life programme to educate young people about kindness towards all forms of life. The involvement of Kiki, a seven-year-old Chinese girl who distributed No Fur China badges to her schoolmates and explained why they should avoid fur, soon inspires others to do the same. Her school becomes a pilot institution for the programme and Kiki receives the title of best ambassador for Caring for Life !

2011

Au sein de la Fur Free Alliance, One Voice s'engage dans une opération auprès de la Commission européenne contre la chasse aux phoques au Canada.

As part of the Fur Free Alliance, One Voice takes part in a campaign at the European Commission against seal hunting in Canada.

The first Circle of Silence in Paris against fur. Others follow throughout France.

One Voice promotes in France the international boycott of Canadian fish organised by the Fur Free Alliance.

In November One Voice organises a huge silent solidarity demo against fur and foie gras at the Trocadéro, right opposite the Eiffel Tower.

Muriel Arna interviewed on tv Channel 5 about the exploitation of mink for their fur.

One Voice organised National Anti-Fur Day on 15th November with outreach events in Paris, Nantes and Strasbourg.

One Voice rescued 33 chinchillas from a Croatian fur farm and and secured its closure. We continued our investigation in France of two mink farms and exposed the horrific conditions.

2002

In October 2002, the Charlie Hebdo cartoonist Cabu was with us in our campaign to save the seals. It was he who handed over 19,493 signatures to representatives of the Canadian embassy.

2002

One Voice supported the work of Katherine Pradeau in 2002. This young designer received very few commissions because she refused to use fur. Her models wore our anti-fur badges at fashion shows and our message appeared on the invitations.

One Voice and PETA organised outreach events across France to raise awareness.

Muriel Arnal debated on French tv channel 2 with the president of the Federation of French Furriers.

Demos in Strasbourg, Marseille, Lille, Le Mans, Toulouse, et Rennes.

One Voice exposes extensive trafficking of the skins of domestic cats and protected wild species in the Paris area.

Meeting at the UK Parliament with the Fur Free Alliance (FFA), with Muriel Arnal representing France, to demand a ban on the import of dog and cat skins into Europe. We went on to achieve the banning of this trade.

2000

Our campaign receives the support of Italian actress Ornella Muti and renewed support from Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan.

2000

The first ever campaign to expose the fate of dogs and cats skinned alive in China and Thailand, for the French and European fur market, launched with the Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan Foundation.

1999

One Voice brought about the cancellation of expansion plans for a mink farm in Alsace.

1998

On 24th October 1998 we organised the first European Anti-Fur Day.

1998

Our "We are no longer in the stone age" demos are front page news in several cities.

1998

Several demonstrations organised, in particular in front of the head office of Givenchy with Muriel Arnal and PETA.

1998

First European campaign with PETA and supported by Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan and Princess Catherine. It also gained the support of the singer Sapho, entertainer Pascal Brunner, and designers Balenciaga, Moschino, Marine Sitbon, Oleg Cassini, Jean-Jacques Goldman and Stella McCartney.
