Global week of action for victims of animal experimentation

Being healthy means taking care of yourself, maintaining your home, eating healthily etc.: but your daily routine should not necessitate animal sacrifice. When consumers actively choose to buy cruelty-free products, manufacturers listen because it is in their best interest to meet consumer desires. Just by living ethically we can actively participate in large-scale societal shifts.

Last week, One Voice president Muriel Arnal took part in the Coalition meeting on animal experimentation in Berlin. The consensus seemed to be that the future for laboratory animals is beginning to look up, so now is the time to act!

Aroma-Zone, a longtime One Voice partner, has been embracing the cruelty-free label for the last ten years. For this week's occasion, they offered us a recipe for a skin serum for spring found at the bottom of the page.

Healthy glow serum for spring

Price: 4 euros for 30ml

Level of difficulty: beginner

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Bottling: 30 ml dropper bottle

Ingredients: 30ml

Macerated organic carrot oil: 1 10 ml dose
organic apricot oil: 1 10 ml dose
organic prune oil: 1 10 ml dose
organic grapefruit oil without furocoumarin: 10 drops

Instructions:

put the ingredients together in the dropper bottle
close the bottle and shake

Usage: Apply 3 to 4 drops of the fruit serum in the morning before daily care routine for a healthy glow!

Conservation: create and conserve in hygienic conditions, your product can be saved for at least 6 months

The State Council has just announced that it will once again permit dissections in middle and high school, although the Ministry of Education has the option of disputing the decision. Write to the Ministry of Education requesting that dissections are prohibited for academic purposes, along with the use of organs and/or vertebrates and cephalopods. Children and young adults should not be subjected to participating in such cruel and inhumane practice.

L'éducation devrait enseigner à nos enfants des valeurs intrinsèques,le respect du vivant est une notion fondamentale pour continuer d'évoluer vers une société humaine qui laissera derrière elle ces pratiques d'un autre temps, la technologie telle qu'elle existe actuellement permet de ne plus avoir recours à ces pratiques...je vais personnellement demander à mes enfants de faire de la désobéissance civile, en aucun cas ils ne participeront à ces actes ....

Madame la ministre de l'éducation Nationale,
A l'heure où nos enfants entrent dans l'ère de la 3D et du tout virtuel.Où nos enfants gèrent au mieux les hautes technicités qu'offrent notre monde moderne en matière de communication. Où nos enfants apprennent les sciences au travers des ordinateurs et des tablettes simulant l'ensemble des fonctions physiologiques des êtres vivants. Où nos enfants découvrent le monde de l'infiniment petit dans les plus extraordinaires logiciels illustrant l'existence de ce qui n'est pas du tout visible...Il me semble que votre méthode d'éducation des sciences basées sur la dissection d'animal est complètement archaïque.
C'est une régression incompréhensible qui bafoue l'éthique de la vie animale.
En 2015, une loi semblait aller dans le bon sens, avec la reconnaissance du statut d'être sensible pour l'animal...la dissection en classe est donc paradoxale et intolérable.
Je vous prie donc, d'en prendre conscience, et de tout faire, en responsable politique,pour interdire définitivement la dissection dans l'enseignement en général.

J'ai été choquée par la nouvelle du retour de la dissection à l'école. Personnellement je ne l'ai jamais eu en cours et je n'aurais jamais pu le faire. Je suis très sensible et j'ai aussi beaucoup de respect pour les animaux. Jamais je ne pourrai leur faire le moindre mal. Aujourd'hui j'ai éduqué ma fille dans ce sens et elle aussi ne fera jamais cela car elle adore les animaux et psychologiquement ne pourrait supporter de leur faire du mal. Je ne comprends pas ce que cela pourrait apporter à nos enfants surtout à l'ère de la 3D ,de la nanotechnologie et de toutes les avancées scientifiques disponibles.

Merci de retirer ce cours qui est inutile et traumatisant pour les enfants. De plus ceci est archaïque et les enfants peuvent apprendre sur des livres ou sur ordinateur avec images en relief (3D ou autres).
