Global week of action for victims of animal experimentation

Being healthy means taking care of yourself, maintaining your home, eating healthily etc.: but your daily routine should not necessitate animal sacrifice. When consumers actively choose to buy cruelty-free products, manufacturers listen because it is in their best interest to meet consumer desires. Just by living ethically we can actively participate in large-scale societal shifts.

Last week, One Voice president Muriel Arnal took part in the Coalition meeting on animal experimentation in Berlin. The consensus seemed to be that the future for laboratory animals is beginning to look up, so now is the time to act!

Aroma-Zone, a longtime One Voice partner, has been embracing the cruelty-free label for the last ten years. For this week's occasion, they offered us a recipe for a skin serum for spring found at the bottom of the page.

Healthy glow serum for spring

Price: 4 euros for 30ml

Level of difficulty: beginner

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Bottling: 30 ml dropper bottle

Ingredients: 30ml

Macerated organic carrot oil: 1 10 ml dose
organic apricot oil: 1 10 ml dose
organic prune oil: 1 10 ml dose
organic grapefruit oil without furocoumarin: 10 drops

Instructions:

put the ingredients together in the dropper bottle
close the bottle and shake

Usage: Apply 3 to 4 drops of the fruit serum in the morning before daily care routine for a healthy glow!

Conservation: create and conserve in hygienic conditions, your product can be saved for at least 6 months

The State Council has just announced that it will once again permit dissections in middle and high school, although the Ministry of Education has the option of disputing the decision. Write to the Ministry of Education requesting that dissections are prohibited for academic purposes, along with the use of organs and/or vertebrates and cephalopods. Children and young adults should not be subjected to participating in such cruel and inhumane practice.

L'animal est un être vivant, sensible, capable de ressentir la douleur et toutes sortes de maltraitances.

Votre projet de réhabiliter la dissection dans les écoles est un acte de cruauté affligeant et choquant, envers l'animal, envers l'humanité, impensable au 21 è siècle, et va accentuer encore davantage la banalisation de la violence et le non-respect d'espèces différentes.

Le but de l'école n'est-il pas d'enseigner le savoir vivre ensemble, le respect de l'autre, de décourager la violence?

Quel paradoxe et régression à l'heure ou des technologies alternatives de haute qualité existent, et permettent d'enseigner virtuellement et sans souffrance associée.

Rien ne justifie la cruauté et mise à mort d'animaux, ou d'êtres humains, comment pouvez-vous ignorer la douleur et terreur ressentie par l'animal ainsi torturé ?

Merci de faire preuve d'évolution et de respect envers l'animal, ainsi qu'envers nos collégiens en leur enseignant des valeurs pacifistes, l'observation et le respect du monde animal, végétal, plutôt que d'encourager des actes de cruauté sur des êtres sentients.

Quand j'étais au collège, à la fin des années 70, j'avais catégoriquement refusé de participer à cette pratique ignoble, cela m'avait valu une visite chez le proviseur.. mais je n'ai pas cédé ! Et aujourd'hui ces vieux c... du Conseil d'Etat remettent ça à l'ordre du jour.

Je suis entièrement d'accord avec les commentaires précédents.Je croyais définitivement acquis le fait que l'Education Nationale interdisait toute dissection animale en classe. Pourquoi reviendrait-on en arrière, alors que cette pratique est très choquante pour certains, élevés dans le respect des animaux, et que par ailleurs il est nécessaire d'éduquer en insistant sur le respect de l'autre et celui de la vie, humaine et animale...
