Dumba in Germany, finally far away from life on the road

Under pressure from FAADA in Spain, us in France, and with the support of Free The Wild, led by Cher along with members of the public from around the world, the touring life is over for Dumba! And she is no longer alone. Surrounded by other elephants, she is nevertheless still exploited. Our investigators went to see her twice in a kind of permanent circus, near Hamburg in North Germany, since her arrival there at the end of February.

Her living conditions at Elefantenhof Platschow are far from good. In fact, the place is managed by circus artists and she has to take part in routines for an unaware audience or pose for souvenir photos. Because there are non-stop visits and celebrations of all types (birthdays, marriages…) being organised, where popcorn is sold and people get on the elephants, training is ever-present and compliance is constant.

The photos and videos that our investigators reported have made it possible to understand her conditions of confinement. The legal proceedings are therefore underway in France and Germany. There is no question of throwing in the towel or giving up on Dumba! Her place is in a sanctuary, for example at Elephant Haven, our partner in France where we have a place reserved for her, certainly not in a settled circus where she remains exploited and threatened with a stick.

Après avoir visionné la libération "temporaire" qui je l'espère plus que profondément ne le sera plus de sept tigres retirés à leur dresseur pour conditions de vie inacceptables, odieuses, honteuses, je vous avoue en avoir pleuré tout le long car insoutenable, incompréhensif et ignoble ! Comment peut-on encore cautionner de tels cirques de la honte ? Toutes les autorités françaises n'ont-elles donc aucune âme, aucune conscience, aucune grandeur et aucun respect ni considération envers tous ces animaux ? Il est impensable d'oser se prétendre encore "humain" en n'agissant pas pour délivrer et libérer tous ces êtres vivants des cirques, endroits où ils n'ont rien à y faire c'est une évidence !
Nous devons absolument informer et sensibiliser au maximum les populations à travers des tracts de ONE VOICE dénonçant la présence infâmes des animaux sauvages dans les cirques car cela doit cesser et cesser définitivement et vite très vite ! Ces individus doivent enfin avoir un autre regard sur le respect total des animaux sauvages et autres animaux bien évidemment, mais aussi une prise de conscience profonde et c'est à nous défenseurs et protecteurs des animaux de leur ouvrir les yeux et leur permettre d'y parvenir. MERCI ONE VOICE car tous ces animaux ont besoin de nous et comptent sur nous!

Aucun animal devrait être en captivité, inclus les animaux dans les laboratoires où ils souffrent toute leur vie. Nous sommes les animaux les plus cruels et destructeurs de la Planète. Impossible qu'un être supérieur ait pu créer un être aussi pervers et destructeur.

Le gouvernement français est en dessous de tout concernant tous les animaux, que ce soit les cirques, les corridas et la chasse, cela me donne l’impression d’être dans un pays d’arriérés.
Je suis désolée mais je suis perpétuellement en colère quand je vois tout ce que vous faites et que la justice et les politiques ne bougent pas.
