A horse clearly suffering, a tiger with a wounded neck, we file a complaint against the circus

These images have made our blood run cold: this poor horse, lying on the ground, who seems to be struggling to breathe, this tiger with a wound, left in his tiny cage with the floor bare, and the elephants Nelly and Brigit demonstrating heavy swaying, manifestation of their deep anxiety.

Does the horse suffer? This is what we tried to find out by alerting the various authorities. The photographed tiger presenting a wound, we also asked them about the origin of this lesion.

We immediately lodge a complaint for acts of cruelty for these animals in great distress, in addition to that filed for Nelly and Brigit. This circus also holds Maya, for whom our complaint is currently under investigation.

We told the public prosecutor that One Voice is ready to take care of all these animals in pain and to finally offer them a dignified life in our partner sanctuaries. Enough is enough!

EDIT at February 26th: One Voice intervened following numerous reports. A complaint was lodged concerning a horse visibly in a state of suffering, a tiger with a neck wound and elephants with strong stereotypical behaviour.

The DDPP carried out an inspection, which One Voice welcomes. As the DDPP made a report that found nothing abnormal, we decided to withdraw certain terms. We maintain our complaint.

Le cirque doit rester un espace artistique, de beauté et de poésie aux remarquables numéros donnés par des HOMMES et des FEMMES(acrobates, jongleurs, clowns, trapézistes....)d'un immense talent devant lequel nos yeux d'enfants s'illuminent, scintillent toujours d'admiration et d'émotion.
Ne gâchons pas ce merveilleux spectacle par la triste et pitoyable présentation d'animaux captifs, blessés par un dressage tellement vain et cruel!!
Il faut que cessent nos larmes devant des cages, des enclos où meurent à petit feu les plus nobles animaux d'une faune sauvage plus que jamais menacée à l'état naturel! Libérons-les, soignons-les, rééduquons-les pour qu'ils reviennent à leur DIGNITE D'ANIMAL!
Nous en avons fini avec le cirque BARNUM ET LE DEFILE DE SES MONSTRUOSITES!
Alors oui, maintenant s'impose UN AUTRE COMBAT pour prouver notre évolution morale : STOP AUX ANIMAUX DANS LES CIRQUES ET A L'HORREUR DE LEUR CONDITION.

Il faut cruellement manquer de sensibilité, d'empathie considération et respect pour les animaux pour cautionner et tolérer encore de tels cirques avec des animaux sauvages car à l'heure d'aujourd'hui il n'y a plus d'excuse pour ignorer les conditions misérables et lamentables des animaux enfermés et emprisonnés dans les cirques, car avec un peu de bon sens et de réflexion il est impensable et impossible imaginer que tous ces malheureux animaux sauvages soient épanouis et heureux dans des cirques, le serions nous ?.... Aucun animal sauvage ou autre n'a sa place dans des cirques.
Je trouve très regrettable et honteux qu'aucun gouvernement ne s'intéresse, ne s'investisse et ne s'engage pour la protection et la défense des animaux mais soutienne chasseurs et éleveurs.

Si un cirque avec animaux se présente dans votre commune, il faut faire pression sur la municipalité pour qu'elle renonce à les accueillir dans l'avenir : distribution de tracts, signatures d'une pétition qui sera remise au maire, porte à porte pour sensibiliser la population ...
Je les fait pour ma commune et ça a fonctionné.
