Confined alone in small compartments inside carriers, these sensitive and intelligent individuals were subjected to a long and traumatising ordeal lasting around 24 hours, with a 6-hour stopover in Beijing, as well as numerous additional hours of transportation to and from the Phnom Penh and Chicago airports. Hainan Airline has intervened to resume the flights that Egyptair chose to stop by not renewing their contract.
